Bear with me as I begin this column with a true-life parable that has nothing to do with homeschool freedom. At least on the surface.
A few days ago, I was browsing the men's dress shirts at Blue Ridge Hospice Thrift Store in Purcellville, Virginia. Across from me a scruffy looking 30-something man browsed the men's T-shirts. Backwards baseball cap, baggy shorts, stringy hair, and a beard that didn't quite deliver, all topped off with a Michael Jordan number 23 tank top.
