If you are withdrawing your child from public school to begin home schooling during the school year, fill out this letter and mail it “Certified Mail/Return Receipt Requested” to the principal of the public school your child is currently attending. If the public school principal does not send the child’s student records to you as the form requests, you have still fulfilled your obligations. You do not need to follow up with the principal unless you prefer to have the records on file.
