HSLDA Discount Group Program
Thank you for your commitment to serving the families in your area and for encouraging their membership in HSLDA.
The primary qualifications for a homeschool group to become a Discount Group are
- the group serves 10 or more families, and
- it meets the definition of homeschool group, as follows:
A state or local homeschool group is a group, co-op, program, or other organization which exists expressly to provide in-person support, activities, information, and/or encouragement, such as support group meetings, co-ops, field trips, sports programs, curriculum fairs, etc., specifically for homeschooling families. Homeschool service providers, PACs, social media groups, email lists, website-only groups, and other homeschool network resources are not eligible to become Discount Groups and are listed separately in our Support Group Directory under National Vendors/Homeschool Networks.
As a Discount Group, you would also communicate to your families about the services and benefits of HSLDA, and you would maintain your group’s online membership roster (which is created after you become a Discount Group).
The Update Rewards program is an incentive program to reward those Discount Groups that update their group rosters AND their organization/contact information pages on our website at least once a year. Not only does your group receive a free membership to give away to one of your families, but the person responsible for maintaining the group’s roster receives a small token of our appreciation for their diligence!
In addition, Discount Groups with 25 or more HSLDA members on their Discount Group rosters are eligible to apply for an HSLDA Compassion grant.
Thank you for your service to the homeschool community!
