How to Add Your Group Listing

  1. Create a free HSLDA account with your email address, or log in to your existing account.
  2. In your account portal, click “Group Management” in the left-hand navigation menu.
  3. In the Group Management tab, click the button that says “Add/Update Group Information”, which will redirect you to the Group Information Update form.
  4. Input basic information about your group: name, contact details, etc.
  5. Choose the type of group: In-person or Virtual.
    • By selecting “In-person”, the search will display your group listing for families as long as it falls within a certain radius of their zip code. We recommend selecting this option as long as you have a brick-and-mortar meeting place so that families can find your group easily.
    • By selecting “Virtual”, you have the option to choose whether your group serves a National or Regional online community. If you select “Region,” then you will choose the State and County that you serve. You can add more than one County by clicking on “Add another response.”
  6. Click “Next Page” and select all the services and classes that your group provides. Parents can use these categories to filter the types of groups they’re looking for.
  7. Make sure to fill out the “Summary Description” and “Additional Details” boxes so that homeschool families get personalized details about your group. Make these descriptions both accurate and appealing. Tell us what makes your group stand out from others!
  8. If you would like, you can check the box saying that you would like to become a Discount Group with HSLDA. You can always come back and select this option later, if desired.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully submitted your group’s listing! Note: If you checked the box to become a Discount Group, please allow 3 to 5 business days for the submission to be processed.

To edit group details, simply click “Update Group Info” to change any information that you need.
