If you are homeschooling a child
with special needs, you need to follow your state’s homeschool law. There are
no additional requirements for homeschooling children with special needs in Ohio.
Homeschool students as well as students
enrolled in noncharted, nonpublic schools do not have a right to receive special education
services funded by the school district.
Note: As
you decide what kind of special needs services and therapy best meet your
child’s needs, check out HSLDA Compassion Curriculum Grants, available to help
with diagnostic services, therapy, curriculum, or other educational materials.
