If you are homeschooling a child with special needs, you need to follow your state’s homeschool regulations. There are no additional requirements for homeschooling children with special needs.
For the purposes of IDEA, students enrolled in home study programs shall be deemed to be private school students and shall be provided with the same special education and related services as students in private schools.
