As of March 2023, school districts must permit local homeschooled students to participate in sports and other activities regulated by the Arkansas Activities Association (Arkansas Code Annotated § 6-15-509). There are deadlines for reporting and notifying officials, and requirements for submitting test results.
A school district (including an open-enrollment charter school) may also adopt a policy allowing local homeschooled students to take academic classes and may impose restrictions and limitations (Arkansas Code Annotated § 6-18-232).
