HSLDA Online Academy is currently recruiting for an Operations Coordinator to assist with customer service, technical support, marketing, account management, and daily program tasks. This is a full-time, entry-level position, located on-site in our office in Purcellville, VA. (Non-remote).

What You Will Do

  • Maintain and update student enrollment records.
  • Provide customer and teacher support via phone, email, and the LMS (Learning Management System).
  • Assist the Operations Manager in optimizing and maintaining the online registration and payment system. Coordinate with HSLDA’s Accounting Department as needed.
  • Assist the Operations Team as needed with SIS (Student Information System) and LMS set-up and launch for academic terms.
  • Assist with the deployment and maintenance of online platforms and other technological tools used by staff, instructors, and students. Conduct research as requested and make recommendations for updates or replacements.
  • Manage the Academy’s helpdesk ticketing system in the LMS.
  • Assist in managing the Academy’s website, analytics accounts, and social media accounts.
  • Query data and use spreadsheets to analyze operations and marketing campaign performance.
  • Assist with curating and segmenting email lists for Academy marketing campaigns.
  • Assist in setting up content for marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct competitor research and comparisons. Report findings to Academy management.
  • Create an annual schedule for weekly live class sessions, coordinating with instructors to identify times that benefit them and appeal to students.
  • Assist with the Academy referral program as needed. Calculate annual rewards and coordinate delivery of rewards to recipients.
  • Assist the Director and the Operations Manager with special projects as requested.

What You Need for This Position      

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong people skills, a professional phone manner, and ability to handle conflict professionally and graciously
  • Ability to accurately create, edit, and analyze complex spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly and explain technology to others clearly
  • Ability to work independently and be a constructive team player
  • Ability to multi-task and be organized
  • A strong work ethic
  • Flexibility in schedule and ability to put in extra hours during busy seasons
