No victory seems small to a homeschool family in trouble.
That’s why we’re excited to tell you about a big win we scored in Illinois!
We assisted a family who hit an obstacle after deciding to homeschool. The parents told the Chicago charter school their son was attending that they were withdrawing him, but officials pushed back. Administrators insisted the parents had to submit a special form before their son could be released.
The parents’ instincts about this demand were spot on—nothing in Illinois law requires them to fill out a special form or perform any sort of registration in order to homeschool. But they needed help persuading officials to follow the law.

Defending homeschoolers is personal for me, too. I’m a homeschool graduate and a proud homeschool dad to two boys. I’m a witness to the victories that homeschooling can deliver, and dedicated to helping other families achieve similar successes.
