Marialena Zachariah
Bilingual Educational Consultant
Marialena Zachariah is a bilingual representative at HSLDA, interpreting and translating for the Latino public. She is originally from Argentina, was educated at home in her childhood, and has homeschooled her own three children. Between public schools, private schools, homeschooling, and co-ops, she has garnered over 16 years of teaching experience.
Marialena has a degree in sociology from Wheaton College in Illinois. She is most at home working in the Latino community, and served as a social worker in their medical clinics in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for 10 years. She is passionate about educating patients regarding their health.
Now that her children are all in college, she supports Spanish speakers who wish to homeschool by answering their questions, sharing resources, and encouraging them to delight in their children.
She enjoys cultures, community development, and mission trips. She takes pleasure in serving as a biblical counselor, spending time with her international family, and trekking mountains, rivers, and beaches.
