Joe grew up among the rolling corn fields of Iowa, where he was home educated K–12. After graduating high school, Joe went on to receive his BS degree in Mechanical and Welding Engineering from LeTourneau University. Joe now works as a Senior Weld
Engineer at Vermeer Corporation in Pella, Iowa.
He and his wife, Elizabeth, have been happily married for eight years, with six kids filling up their homeschool. Joe serves as a deacon in their local church and is the current Homeschool Iowa board president.
In his free time, Joe enjoys working outside on their country property with the kids, creating useful gifts in the woodworking shop, and designing building projects with his wife.
