Article Submission Guidelines
The Home School Court Report is HSLDA’s bimonthly newsletter-magazine and main method of communication with our member families. The purpose of the newsletter is first to provide legal and legislative updates that may impact our members’ right to homeschool; second, to convey important information about their membership or HSLDA organizational changes; and third, to provide information that may be helpful and encouraging to our member families along their homeschooling journey. In light of this threefold purpose, the range of articles we select to print is very limited and we rarely print unsolicited articles.
Unsolicited manuscripts, article ideas, and photos may be sent to ComDept@hslda.org with COURT REPORT SUBMISSION in the subject line. However, due to the volume of submissions, unsolicited material cannot be acknowledged or returned.
Please do not call or write to check on the status of a submission. If an article is considered for publication, the Court Report staff will contact the author and, at that time, will discuss details.
Any material you send us becomes the property of HSLDA. By submitting material to HSLDA, you give HSLDA permission to use or reproduce that material in any of our organizational print publications and on our website.
We do not pay for unsolicited articles or photos that we print.
