We knew our homeschooling life was going to be an adventure. What we didn’t see ahead was how much we’d need the flexibility homeschooling would give our family . . .
Homeschooling was central to life together as a family for Jaimie and Donny GrosJacques and their three kids. They could never have predicted that their lives would suddenly be turned upside down when first their newborn daughter—and then Donny himself—faced life-threatening circumstances.
The last thing they wanted was to stop homeschooling. Thankfully, caring people like you generously stepped in to help with an HSLDA Compassion Curriculum Grant, making it possible for Jaimie and Donny to continue and giving their children what they needed most during years of medical adversity—time together as a family.
Compassion Grants are just one of the ways HSLDA has been partnering with families since 1983 to make homeschooling possible. Not only do we stand up for families’ legal right to homeschool, freeing them to focus on what they do best—learning together—but we also equip struggling homeschooling families with personalized advice and practical resources, so that challenges don’t force them to quit.
Would you join us in helping more families press on in their homeschooling journey?
