If so, you might be our next Assistant Video Producer/Editor! This is a full-time, on-site position in our Purcellville, VA office.

What You Will Do

  • Be involved in the entire video production pipeline, from pre-production to post-production, including filming, editing, sound-mixing, and color correction
  • Assist with the production of regular podcast programs (may include audio editing and scriptwriting)
  • Prepare, run, and provide technical support for regular livestream programs
  • Edit video footage and audio into polished, professional videos for web and social media use
  • Organize and categorize video files & assets
  • Occasional opportunities for inter-state travel

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with basic camera operation
  • Basic understanding of framing and composition
  • Prior video editing experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend both simple and complex instructions
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills
  • Be organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and excited to actively participate in ideation and brainstorming with the video team
  • Must be a committed Christian and supportive of HSLDA’s mission to help homeschooling families provide the best educational experience for their children
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Preferred skills (not required, but helpful to have):

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Experience with sound mixing, color correction, and color grading
  • Experience with motion graphics
