Dear Members and Friends,

This evening at 6 p.m., I will be participating in “Let’s Talk Homeschooling: An Immediate Answer to High Stakes Testing and Common Core,” an exciting, informative event hosted by Lee County Citizen’s Education Action Committee.

The event will be at Gateway Grace Fellowship, 13241 Griffin Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33913, from 6–9 p.m. and will feature a presentation regarding homeschool law in Florida, a homeschool student success panel, and a Q-and-A session. This event is specifically geared for Floridians who are considering homeschooling, so please spread the word to all of your non-homeschooling friends!

While walk-ins are welcome, seating is limited. To register in advance for this free event, have your potential homeschooling friends go here.

For homeschooling families living in the area, event organizer Tara Jenner would welcome any volunteers who would like to assist in making “Let’s Talk Homeschooling” a success!

Representatives from homeschool groups in Lee and Collier counties are invited to be on hand to share information about homeschool services and support you have available. Please go to this link and indicate in what way you may be able to help and then get the word out to other groups who may be interested in volunteering.

For more details about the event or about volunteering, you can reach Tara directly at 239-218-4307 or by emailing her at tjpresents@gmail.com. If you get her voicemail, she would prefer you send a text to her rather than leave a message since her voicemail has been filling up quickly!

I’m looking forward to being a part of this event promoting homeschooling. Please get the information out about it and consider lending a hand in support of homeschooling in your local community!

Sincerely,

Tj Schmidt
