HSLDA Senior Counsel Receives Distinguished Award
Chris Klicka

On October 13, HSLDA Senior Counsel Chris Klicka will receive the distinguished Jack Kennedy Memorial Alumni Achievement Award for his accomplishments in the field of law.

Klicka has worked for 21 years at the Home School Legal Defense Association. Working to advance homeschool freedoms, Chris Klicka has testified before numerous legislative committees, handled scores of court cases, and resolved tens of thousands of legal conflicts for homeschoolers with social workers, school officials, and prosecutors. Chris Klicka has authored several books on homeschooling, including his latest book Home School Heroes: The Struggle and Triumph of Homeschooling in America.

Chris Klicka is currently directing the legal department’s efforts on behalf of homeschoolers facing legal conflicts in the 50 states, all the legislative lobbying on behalf of homeschool freedoms, and HSLDA’s international work.

On homecoming weekend at Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania, Chris Klicka will accept the award, which has only been awarded to 126 alumni since the college’s founding in the late 1800s. There will be an award ceremony and dinner, and Chris will guest lecture in various classes during the day, and speak in chapel on the evening of October 13. He will also be involved the following day in the homecoming parade and other activities.
