House Bill 2479: Uniform Deployed Parents Custody/Visitation Act

Summary:

This bill would require a deploying parent to provide notice to the other parent. It also states that past or possible future deployment is not to be used in determining the best interest of a child, but any significant impact on the best interest of the child may be considered. It also sets forth allotment of custodial responsibility during a parent's deployment.
