Florida Voluntary Pre-kindergarten Amendment Passes
Thank you for all your efforts in this recent election as you went to the polls and voted against Constitutional Amendment 8, which establishes a voluntary pre-kindergarten education program for four year olds.
Unfortunately, as we anticipated, this amendment was difficult to defeat, and it passed with 58% approval.
We will be monitoring the Florida legislature this session as the program is implemented, in order to minimize the impact of the program. We will watch carefully to ensure that this program does not become mandatory.
