Classical Music Anyone?
If you are looking for a Fine Arts elective you might want to consider exposing your teen to classical music. Two book options to provide a framework as you put together a course include Fred Plotkin’s Classical Music 101: A Complete Guide to Learning and Loving Classical Music or Julius Jacobson’s The Classical Music Experience: Discover the Music of the World's Greatest Composers (complete with 2 CD’s). In addition, The Gift of Music by Jane Stuart Smith and Betty Carlson and Edith Schaeffer’s book, Forever Music, are valuable resources. |
