An apprenticeship is a period of training under the direction of skilled and professional teachers. Apprenticeships are viable options for high school graduates who choose not to go to college. For students who are interested in shipbuilding careers, Northrop Grumman has an excellent apprentice school. Check out their admissions requirements so you can be sure to provide the necessary high school courses. Since Northrop Grumman is a government contractor, they are looking for exemplary trainees because a security clearance will be necessary for many of their full time positions.
