Art and Essay Competition
Because It Flew (BIF) is an art and essay competition that commemorates the history and impact of the NASA Space Shuttle program and is open to all students grades 4–12, including homeschoolers and their parents. BIF offers cash awards, a remote mentoring session with a graphic artist, and certificates. Submission deadline is August 5, 2011.
