Homeschooling thru the Early Years
Consultant Vicki Bentley
Vicki Bentley is the mother of eight daughters, foster mom of over 50, and grandma to 20 wonderful grandbabies (so far). Vicki has homeschooled 17 children since 1988, alongside her husband Jim, and led a local support group of over 250 families for 14 years. She has served on the executive board and convention committee of the Home Educators Association of Virginia and has addressed state and national conventions, university teacher organizations, and many mothers’ groups. She is the author of My Homeschool Planner, Everyday Cooking, The Everyday Family Chore System, Home Education 101: A Mentoring Program for New Homeschoolers, High School 101: Blueprint for Success, and other homeschool and homemaking helps. Vicki has a heart for moms, with practical wisdom and encouraging words.
Consultant Stacey Wolking
Stacey’s childhood dream of becoming a teacher was fulfilled by homeschooling her two sons and two daughters. She and her husband Daryl graduated their youngest child in 2013 after more than 20 years of homeschooling, using a variety of teaching styles and curriculums. All of their children went on to college, have successful careers, and plan to homeschool. Stacey enjoys their growing family: three of their children have married and she is grandma to two delightful grandsons.
Stacey now tutors students in her favorite subjects of English, reading and writing. She also offers professional organizing services, helps coordinate a local homeschool support group, and is passionate about natural health and nutrition.
It is Stacey’s greatest joy to encourage moms in homeschooling, homemaking, and loving their husbands. She loves to share her heart and enthusiasm at homeschool groups and MOPS meetings.
When she’s not working, Stacey enjoys reading, traveling, visiting friends and family, and savoring God’s amazing creation at the beach.
