Mike Smith to Address Summit Ministries Home School Session
In 2003, the Summit will offer a full Home School Session with Michael Smith, Esq., President of Home School Legal Defense Association, as a featured speaker. Held in Summit's historic Grand View Hotel, this special two-week session, August 24 to September 5, is designed for home educated high school and college students, and their parents. The student tuition including all materials, room, and meals, is $625. Parents may audit the course on a space available basis at no charge, and are offered complimentary accommodations. A Summit meal plan is available for $200, for those parents who do not wish to purchase meals in Manitou Springs. Effectively, the Summit is offering the teacher training to those parents at no charge, a savings of more than four hundred dollars.
Since 1962, the Summit has pioneered training in Biblical and secular worldviews as preparation for the college challenges of socialism, evolution, liberalism, ethical relativism, and the various forms of humanism: Marxist, New Age, secular, and postmodern. In addition, Dr. David Noebel, President of Summit Ministries, presents Old and New Testament survey. The faculty assisting Dr. Noebel consists of outstanding Christian scholars from universities throughout the country.
HSLDA urges homeschooling parents to seriously consider this unique offer. Limited parent accommodations will be made available to those who register early. A deposit of $75 will reserve a space in this special session, with the balance of $550 paid throughout the year. Partial scholarships are also available. A minimum of 75 students is needed for the session to be held. For early registration and further information on the Home School Session, August 24 through September 5, 2003, contact Jen, assistant to Dr. Noebel, at Summit Ministries, 719-685-9103 or go to www.summit.org. Don't miss this strategic opportunity for your family.
