Mississippi Legislature Considers Religious Liberty Bill

Mississippi State Senator Richard White has filed a bill that all lovers of religious freedom should support.

Senate Bill 2090, the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, would restore the "compelling state interest" test to lawsuits involving the free exercise of religion. Home School Legal Defense Association strongly supports this bill, which we believe accurately reflects the goal of the Founding Fathers in protecting religious rights.

This bill was introduced on January 8, 2002, and placed in the Senate Judiciary Committee.
