Discounts and PerX
An impressive number of retailers are now offering educator discounts to homeschoolers. At most of these businesses, all you need to do is show your current HSLDA membership card. Here’s a sample of the many venues where our members have reported receiving discounts: Apple Store, Office Depot, Staples, Big Lots, OfficeMax, Michaels, Jo-Ann Fabrics, Hobby Lobby, Barnes and Noble, Books-A-Million, the Book Barn, and the Container Store.
And you can find additional, exclusive discounts through our PerX for Members program online. Vendors include Liberty Mutual Insurance, Choice Hotels, Patrick Henry College Preparatory Academy, Covenant Eyes, the Creation Museum, and many more.
We are on a continual hunt for opportunities to save our members money, so please watch for future announcements on discounts and savings. We may have just the one for you!
Is There a Bad Time to Call HSLDA?
We would say there is no bad time. However, some times are better than others for receiving the fullest level of service. The best is from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time, when our office is fully staffed. But even when the office is closed, an attorney is always on call to handle emergency situations. So please, never hesitate to dial 540-338-5600!
Online Benefit for on-time Renewals

When you renew your membership online, before your expiration date, everyone wins! In return, we give you an extra benefit—a $10 coupon good toward any item in the HSLDA Store. And now, no more waiting for it to come in the mail; we email it directly to your inbox. The coupon also contains a QRT code that may be read on a device such as a smartphone or tablet.
