One picture can tell a life’s story in a moment. It can demand one's attention, prove a point, magnify a sentiment, and capture a slice of beauty forever-all in a single glance.

Photography has changed the world. Look at great works like the FSA photographs documenting the Great Depression, or visit National Geographic’s web photo galleries. A good photographer must learn the art of seeing the opportunities that exist all around and then decide the best way to capture them.
