Melissa Green
Melissa Green is the eldest of seven children, was homeschooled all her life, and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in a year and a half. During her teen years, she energetically pursued a wide variety of interests and activities. She authored a motivational book for teens at age 17, lobbied for the pro-life cause at the United Nations, and traveled to Romania on multiple mission trips. Competing in the National Christian Forensics and Communications Association during high school, she became the 2007 National Persuasive Speaking Champion. Melissa has taken her communication skills across the country, speaking at seminars and equipping teenagers to make the most of their time and live in a way that makes an impact, today, instead of waiting for adulthood. Now in her twenties, Melissa resides in Louisiana with her husband and is HSLDA’s @home e-vents program manager. Her passion is to inspire as many teens as possible and to encourage them to use their youth wisely. Her roots run deep in Alabama and she remains a proud Crimson Tide fan.
"I really enjoyed listening to Melissa. She is such a role model for what homeschooling can do with God's help. Thanks!" — Jennifer, LA

Melissa Green offers insight gleaned from her experience as a homeschooled student whose parents helped her develop her interests and take action at an early age. As a high schooler, she authored a motivational book for teens, lobbied for the pro-life cause at the United Nations, raised money for repeated mission trips, and spoke at seminars nationwide about her passion for inspiring teenagers. Catch Melissa’s enthusiasm as she discusses the valuable principles she learned from implementing her dreams!
Now a college graduate and employed in the communications field, Melissa shares how you can successfully foster persistence, time management skills, mentoring, discernment, and godly attitudes in the lives of your children.
