After 25 years of excellent service, Dee Black retired from HSLDA in December 2015.
He received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1973 from Memphis State University School of Law and his Master of Laws degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1979. He practiced law for 36 years and was licensed to practice in his native state of Arkansas, in addition to the District of Columbia and South Carolina where he was in private practice for 11 years just prior to joining Home School Legal Defense Association.
Dee and his wife, Ricci, have four children, all of whom have been taught at home.
